School Fees
Admission and Tuition Fees
The admission fee should be paid at the time of enrollment. The tuition fee for the first semester should be paid in April and the tuition fee for the second semester should be paid in October.
For details, please check on the page of “Admission and Tuition Fees”.
Admission Fee Waivers
In principle, the admission fee should be paid at the time of enrollment. But for students who have difficulty paying the admission fee, we have a fee waiver program. A student who has payment difficulties can apply for the program; the submitted application is examined, and it will be determined if the admission fee for the applicant should be waived by 50% or totally exempted. We also have a deferral program by which the permitted students can defer and pay their admission fees by the end of August.
For details, please check on the page of “Waivers of Admission and Tuition Fees”.
Tuition Fee Waiver
We have the tuition-fee waiver program for degree-seeking undergraduate and postgraduate students who have difficulty paying tuition fees.
The student who has payment difficulties can apply to the program in each semester (in the first semester and in the second semester). The submitted application is examined and if permission is given to the student, the tuition fee that the student has to pay for the semester will be waived by 50% or 100%.
For details, please check on the page of “Waivers of Admission and Tuition Fees”.
Scholarships
We offer various academic scholarships for privately-financed degree-seeking undergraduate and postgraduate international students, such as scholarships from JASSO, other private organizations, and our own internal “OKU International Students Scholarship” from the OKU Association of International Student Supporters.
The international students who wish to apply for scholarships can do so through the university. The university examines and selects candidates to be recommended to the respective organizations. The university releases scholarship/ grant information when scholarship/ grant notices are received from a funding organization; international students who wish to apply can then do so through the university.
We will inform you of the details during the orientation after and upon notice of scholarships.
The OKU Association of International Student Supporters
The OKU Association of International Student Supporters was founded by OKU faculty members and support groups in local communities to offer financial support for international students and promote international exchange with local communities. Since 2003, the Association awarded scholarships every year to international students.
From 2018, the association awards to international students as the “OKU International Student Scholarship”.
The association offers not only scholarships, but also additional support for international students through various activities, including interchanges with international students.
